In recent years Foamed In Place Insulation Technology (Specification Section 07-2119) has been steadily included in more commercial projects as more and more architects specify it to address specific problems in modern building assemblies:
- Wall cavities and under roof decks to insulate the complete envelope of a structure
- Stem walls, subfloors, and other applications where spray foam’s inherent resistance to moisture make it an ideal material.
- Insulation of building components with irregular shapes such as parapet walls and roof – wall intersections where the adhesion and application flexibility of spray foam insulation allow a better install for better overall building performance compared to alternative insulation methods
- Mechanical ductwork and coolers where high levels of condensation and non uniform geometries lend themselves to spray foam for a best fit installation without custom fabrication of insulated panels
